It was a whopping 44 degrees without wind chill up at Timberline Lodge Friday afternoon. Timberline has an elevation of 5,960 ft (1.82 km) above sea level (hence the name…so high trees won't grow) and where they filmed The Shining with Jack Nicholson. I got some yummy coffee to warm up.

I never enjoyed C++ in college, but I got through it. It will be interesting to see if our kids grow up learning programming methodology in our schools. Since technology is constantly changing, it would be tough to teach a child a programming language they could use after graduating, but if we taught students programming methodology it probably wouldn't hurt.
