Pacific Pinball Museum

Christina and I went on a double date with her parents to the Pacific Pinball Museum in Alameda, CA today.  The fee is $15/person but you definitely get your money’s worth because all the games are free.  There are 4 or 5 large rooms filled with pinball machines that range from the 1930s to 2011.  I loved it…

Tyler’s First Bowling Adventure

Each year for my birthday my parents would ask me what I wanted to do on my “special day” so I think just about every year I said I wanted to go bowling.  So what to do for the big 34?  We went bowling baby!  I am absolutely terrible at it but I still have lots of fun and it was Tyler’s first time.

Totem by Cirque du Soleil

Christina and I went to Totem in San Francisco on Friday afternoon.  According to its website:

“TOTEM traces the fascinating journey of the human species from its original amphibian state to its ultimate desire to fly. The characters evolve on a stage evoking a giant turtle, the symbol of origin for many ancient civilizations.  Inspired by many founding myths, TOTEM illustrates, through a visual and acrobatic language, the evolutionary progress of species.  Somewhere between science and legend TOTEM explores the ties that bind Man to other species, his dreams, and his infinite potential.”

I loved the acts but I don’t know how congruent they were.  They all didn’t seem to tell much of a story, it was a little bit disjointed in parts.  Le Reve was so much better but we certainly still enjoyed ourselves.  If you’ve seen Totem, what do you think?

We went to see Le Reve at the Wynn, which was amazing on Saturday night.  I hadn’t seen a Cirque de Soleil show, and let me tell you I was so impressed.  I loved every minute of it.  Here are the rest of our miscellaneous Vegas pics.

Honeymoon Last Day: Coke World Las Vegas

For our last day honeymooning we drove up to Vegas but more on that in a bit.  One of our first stops once we started exploring on the Vegas Strip was Coke World.  I didn’t want to tell the polar bear I’m actually a Pepsi fan.  The best thing if you get to Coke World is they offer a flight of Coke from around the world.  In order of personal preference I liked: Stoney Tangawizi from Tanzania, the Sunfill Blackcurrant from Mauritius, and the Inca Cola from Peru the most.  The manager of the store was super friendly and gave us some free samples from the new Coke machines coming to McDonalds, Wendy’s, and Five Guys.  The Vanilla Coke and Orange Coke combined tastes like an orangesicle.  Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.
