Review
“You probably won’t have heard of any of the people eulogized in Obit, but they will remind you of the variety of humans on earth and the absolute certainty that no matter how powerful a personality, eventually the body goes, and that what remains stays not only in people’s hearts, but in their stories.”

Product Description
Like Everything I Really Needed to Know, I Learned in Kindergarten, or Tuesdays with Morrie, Obit is a wise and deeply moving book that illuminates the human condition. For ten years, Jim Sheeler has scoured Colorado looking for subjects whose stories he will tell for the last time. Most are unknowns, but that doesn’t mean they’re nobodies. Their obituaries are sometimes humorous, sometimes heartbreaking, and chock full of life lessons as taught by the people we all pass on the street every day. And thanks to Sheeler’s brilliant and compassionate prose, it’s not too late to meet them.
Here are some pictures of Tyler doing his morning ritual with Mom.
We have had so many lizards in our house, in fact two this week. I don’t know if the cats are bringing them in or what but it is out of control. 🙂 We let them go outside because we are animal lovers but I think we should start letting them go in the neighbor’s yard!
Lana and I went out to dinner last night for Mother’s Day (OK a day early). Lana gave Tyler a sip of my Pepsi and he seemed to really like it. He has to wait another week before cake, other than that he hasn’t had much sugar. To those who don’t have kids yet, yes this is the stuff I guess parent’s blog about.
“Where are Google’s data centers located?
Google has disclosed the sites of four new facilities announced in 2007, but many of its older data center locations remain under wraps. Much of Google’s data center equipment is housed in the company’s own facilities, but it also continues to lease space in a number of third-party facilities. Much of its third-party data center space is focused around peering centers in major connectivity hubs. Here’s our best information about where Google is operating data centers, building new ones, or maintaining equipment for network peering. Facilities we believe to be major data centers are bold-faced.”
I found it interesting they have a data center in Pleasanton, CA because that is the city I work in. Read the full article here.
